Haters usually call them fake rapper cause they mostly make Kpop (even when they rap in those songs) and show themself as idols. They never critizise their rap cause they know that its extraordinary. Tbh, I mostly think that these ppl feel like it is a loss for their genre that bts rapline aren't "only" hiphop/rap. They see kpop as shallow, but a lot of kpop songs have a deep meaning by now and bts songs in general (I cant think of one that isnt) have very deep lyrics.

I feel like a lot of people fail to acknowledge that Namjoon and Yoongi were very well known underground rappers before debuting. There’s a reason as to why BTS’ lyrics are so well versed and resonate through language barriers so well. It’s because they’re high skilled. Not to mention, they’re constantly looking for ways to improve, not just Namjoon and Yoongi, but all 7 of them.

As a member yes yoongi is underrated. But he is still appreciated a lot for his rap. Armies always praise him for that. This mixtape esp Daechwita is popular and known by most of the armies. RM's the one who's underrated both as a member and for his rap. I bet most armies don't even know that RM is actually the fastest rapper in BTS. Idk why they get surprised. Yes yoongi raps fast, it's his style but RM has the fastest rap. (RM-9.88 sps, AgustD-9.38 dps). People often base their opinions on RM's Mono without even listening to his older works!!! Heck even people of other fandoms acknowledge him as one of the best rappers of Kpop (If not, the best). People need to stop sleeping on his rapping skills. He's was RAP MONSTER for a reason and is the MAIN RAPPER of BTS for a reason.

@@xarahhh ig it has more to do with who he is and how he's grown as a person. His music now is more chill, less angry, and I think that's what he actually wants to do. He's always been more focused on lyricism than speed, he probably prefers slower (but hard-hitting) raps.

Although I really like this song and would've like more of that, the history behind this track is that it's called "joke" cause he was just playing around with words to prove to the haters that he COULD do this type of aggressive and fast rap like everyone expect a former "undergrounded" rapper to do, and make it clear that he actually CHOSE to do more meanigfull songs because it's what he really loves and we too 💛

I love the way the song and the MV build up to the "mental breakdown", where the flow suddenly changes from a fairly consistent slow burn into something neurotic and anxious at the end. It's a good visual/auditory representation of someone taking a narcotic or hard drug; the effects might be kinda muted at first, but they steadily creep up on you until you're hit with this intense, uncontrollable high, and then there's nothing left to do but ride it out. A+++ work RM, so proud of how far you've come since then.
